Reduction of the Tuition fees

Students who can benefit from this reduction
The USEK’s direction has defined seven categories of students eligible for tuition fees’ reductions (no reduction can be applied on the registration fees). These categories, the reduction percentages, the period during which the student has to file his demand to the Social Service Office are all detailed in the following table. It is worth mentioning that the defined reductions can never be applied to the first payment of each semester.


First year students in the undergraduate studies program cannot benefit from a reduction except in cases considered extreme by the committee of the Social Service Office.

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction: students who are members of the same family, simultaneously registered in the university.
Reduction percentages:


Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office:


Required documents: the completed form of the studies’ allocation demand for students from the same family that is to be taken from the Social Service Office’s secretariat (1 form per family and academic year), a recent familial civil status record and a grades’ statement for each student.

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction: brother, sister, nephew or niece of a member of the Lebanese Maronite Order
Reduction percentages: 50%
Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office:


Required Documents: A letter from the concerned member of the Lebanese Maronite Order defining the family tie must be presented to the secretariat of the Social Service Office.

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction:


Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office:


Required documents: the completed form of the studies’ allocation demand to be taken from the secretariat of the Human Resources Office (1 form per academic year)

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction:


Reduction percentages: Full time: 50%, Part-time: 25%


Reduction percentages: The reduction percentage is calculated according to the number of the parent’s teaching hours.

Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office:


Required documents: The completed form of the studies’ allocation demand to be taken from the secretariat of the Teaching staff’s office (1 form per semester for part-time teachers, 1 form per academic year for full-time teachers)

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction: Student Job
Reduction Percentages: the reduction percentage is calculated according to the number of working hours per semester (5h = 225$, 10h = 450$ and 15h = 675$)
Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office: During the period defined for the submission or renewal of the social file, between April 1st and June 30 of the current year, so that the student can benefit from a reduction the following year.
Required documents: The completed form of the student job demand which is part of the appendix of the social file presented to the Social Service Office.

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction: Students who are members of a sports’ team in the USEK.
Reduction Percentages: 15%
Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office: during the registration period
Required documents: Refer to the Sports’ Service

Categories of students who can benefit from a reduction: Students who present a social aid demand
Reduction percentages: The reduction percentage is calculated according to the family’s socio-economic situation.
Periods for filing the demands to the Social Service Office: from April 1st till June 30
Required documents: The completed social file to be taken from the Social Service + the required documents listed at the end of the file.
The students registered in one of the three Regional University Centers of USEK benefit automatically from a 20% reduction on their tuition fees (this reduction is not applied on the registration fees); if they benefit from another reduction according to one of the aforementioned criteria, this reduction will be applied to the remaining 80% after having withdrawn the first 20%.
